This website partially conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conforming" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard. Known gaps are documented below.
Who We Are
CloviAble is an accessibility widget and website scanner service operated by CloviTek. We build tools that help website owners identify and reduce accessibility barriers for users with disabilities — including those who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or rely on high contrast and reduced motion settings.
Our product tagline is "Real accessibility. No theater." We hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of our customers. This statement is part of that commitment.
What CloviAble Does
The CloviAble widget is an assistive personalization layer. When installed on a website, it allows visitors to adjust display preferences including:
- Font size, weight, and letter spacing
- Color contrast modes (high contrast, grayscale, inverted)
- Focus highlighting for keyboard navigation
- Animation and motion reduction
- Cursor size and link highlighting
- Text-to-speech reading assistance
Our scanner uses axe-core — the same open-source engine used by major enterprise testing tools — to detect WCAG violations at the code level. It identifies issues with alt text, ARIA roles, color contrast ratios, form labels, keyboard traps, and more.
What CloviAble Does Not Do
Installing CloviAble's widget does not make your website "WCAG compliant" or provide legal protection from ADA/Section 508 lawsuits. No overlay widget can do this. Genuine accessibility requires code-level fixes by developers — not a script tag. Any vendor who claims otherwise is misleading you.
Specifically, CloviAble's widget does not:
- Automatically fix broken HTML or missing ARIA attributes
- Replace or retroactively remediate inaccessible third-party content (embedded videos, iframes, maps)
- Guarantee that screen reader users can navigate all content correctly
- Provide legal certification or indemnification
- Substitute for manual accessibility audits or user testing with disabled individuals
Known Limitations on This Site
We actively test this site using Lighthouse, axe-core, and manual keyboard navigation. Current known limitations include:
- Some third-party embedded components (e.g., interactive scanner preview) may have reduced screen reader support
- Dynamic content updated via JavaScript may not always be announced by all screen readers
- Video content does not yet include captions or audio descriptions
We are working to address these. If you find an issue not listed here, please report it using the contact information below.
Technical Specifications
This website relies on the following technologies for conformance:
- HTML5 semantic structure
- CSS (Tailwind utility classes)
- JavaScript (Alpine.js, Lucide icons)
- ARIA landmark roles and live regions
The pages were tested using Google Chrome, Firefox, VoiceOver (macOS), and NVDA (Windows). Mobile accessibility was tested on iOS Safari using VoiceOver.
Formal Complaints and Feedback
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website and product. If you experience barriers or find content that is inaccessible, please contact us:
When contacting us, please include:
- A description of the accessibility problem
- The URL (web address) where you encountered the issue
- Your operating system, browser, and assistive technology (if applicable)
We take all reports seriously and aim to provide a substantive response with a timeline for resolution.
Enforcement Procedure
If you are unsatisfied with our response, or if you believe we are not complying with applicable accessibility requirements, you may contact the relevant enforcement body in your jurisdiction. In the United States, website accessibility complaints may be filed with the U.S. Department of Justice or the EEOC for employment-related matters.
Our Ongoing Commitment
We run our own site through the CloviAble scanner regularly. We aim to:
- Maintain a Lighthouse Accessibility score of 90+ at all times
- Fix critical and serious axe-core violations within 14 days of detection
- Test new features with keyboard navigation before release
- Update this statement when our conformance status changes
We believe that accessibility is an ongoing practice, not a checkbox. Our goal is to make CloviAble — and every site that uses it — genuinely more usable for everyone.
